How easy was it to arrange meal times together with your student? WE ALL HAD BUSY SCHEDULES TO WORK AROUND, BUT ALL WERE FLEXIBLE AND KEEN.
· How easy or difficult was it to ensure safe passage for the student? VERY EASY. HE HAS HIS OWN CAR(S).
· How often were you and the student get together in the term? ONCE EVERY 1 – 2 WEEKS, BUT WE COMMUNICATED BY MESSAGES MORE OFTEN. S. SAYS IN 1ST OR 2ND YEAR HE WAS TOO BUSY WITH NEWNESS OF COUNRY, HEAVY COURSE LOAD, MEETING AND BEING WITH FELLOW STUDENTS (SOCIAL LIFE!!!), AND PART-TIME JOB (NEEDED TO PAY THE BILLS) TO EITHER PARTICIPATE, OR TO LEARN AND BENSIT FOR BEING WITH US, AS MUCH AS HE DOES FROM BEING WITH US NOW. (I THINK SATEESH IS PROBABLY MUCH-MORE WORLDLY THAN MOST INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.?)
· What was your experience of your meal time with them? Enjoyable, difficult, a learning experience for you and them, or anything else? FUNDERFULL! OURS IS PROBABLY ABOUT AS NEAR-PERFECT A MATCH AS THERE COULD BE. S IS NOW MUCH-LIKE A FAMILY MEMBER. WE LEARN, AND RECEIVE AS MUCH FROM S, AS HE LEARNS AND RECEIVES FROM US. AND ALL INVOLVED FEEL VERY POSITIVE ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP THAT CONTINUES TO FLOURISH.
· Do you see yourself continuing the relationship with the student as the term comes to an end? YES – DEFINITELY. THERE ARE ALREADY PLANS IN PLACE TO DO SO..
· WE WERE MATCHED WITH AND HOSTED ONLY ONE STUDENT .. BUT EXPECT TO HAVE SOME CONTACT WITH OTHER INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN THE NEAR FUTURE… I.E. FRIENDS OF S’S
· Would you be willing to continue participation in the program, signing up for a new student in the fall term? I DOUBT IF WE WOULD START ANEW UNLESS SATEESH RETURNS TO PAKISTAN TO LIVE.
· Based on your experience, would you be willing to invite people you know to sign up for the program? YES.
